Striving to Be the Best

Workout Summary

Workout 1 centers on being the best—striving to be our best.

We begin by learning about the ancient Greek aretē or excellence imperative:

“Be the best!” “Be outstanding!”

Next, we explore what it means to be the best, whether the objective-absolute best (the best) or subjective-relative best (my best).

We continue our exploration of what is best by finding and describing examples of excellence from various areas of human life.

We finish by identifying one concrete, specific way we can practice being the best in one activity or area of life.
